ENTRY #2 Advice on Academic Writing

I do believe slides are great for summarizing concepts. Of course they must be accompanied by an explanation or further reading in case the reader does not have the background knowledge to understand what is being summarized.It is a great starting point so as to trigger curiosity and wanting to learn more about the topic I think they are a great took for oral presentations. They make a positive visual impact that engage the audience It was really hard work to summarize all the information.If I had to do this activity some years ago I would have definitely used PowerPoint Presentations for this, but this time I have chosen Google Slides because I got used to working online. On the one hand,Google slides gives me the possibility of accessing to it from any device and it saves my work automatically as I am working on it. On the other hand, the drawback I have found is that you must have internet connection for this to be done. I have download some “ Add ons” so as to be able to make some graphs and make slides more attractive.

  This has been a project that has enriched me a lot, not only due to the academic information that I have acknowledged, but also because I got immersed in a topic that I didn't know much about.. Regarding academic writing I started paying more attention to the structure of my pieces of writing , I used to pay more attention to the content rather than the structure of it, and I realized both things are equally important.
