Entry #7 WRITING

 This was very interesting so a as to reflect upon the way we teach process writing to our students. Do we always give them the time to go over the three steps? I believe that the the prewriting stage is really important because is where they will wet the tools to make a good piece of writing, of course they will also have to showa good management og the language, but the ideas and vocabulary are fundamental. One thing that called my attention was that a "publishing" stage was not mentioned. I usually make students publish their work, Depending on the task it can be to post it on a blog, to write it on a colour page, to create a mini book, to add illustrations to it. I think it gives a great closure to their work.

The second part of the activity made me think of the way we have to think about academic writing. I realized that we must not forget to go over the stages we ask our students to do. Obviously that our analysis demands another type of research and planning but we have to take it into account while writing. While writing we must keep in mind which was our argument and be careful to use the correct language and relevant sources. Finally we must revise our work paying attention to tenses, punctuation, linkers, articles all the grammar structures and check if we have complied with we have been asked to write about.
